According to the Economic Research Service of the U.S. Department of Agriculture, the Green Industry is one of the fastest growing segments of the nation’s agricultural economy with an estimated 2002 output at $147.8 billion, 1,964,339 jobs, $95.1 billion in value added, $64.3 billion in labor income, and $6.9 billion in indirect business taxes. Ohio is one of seven states to account for almost two-thirds of all nursery-crop output in the United States, according to the U.S. Department of Agriculture.
As an outreach arm for The Ohio State University, it is our job to make the resources of The University available to all members of the green industry in the area of horticulture and its related fields:
